About St. Paul Family Ministries
Everything we do at St. Paul Family Ministries is completely based on God's Word, the Holy Bible, and has meaning and purpose. You can be secure that although our worship is expressive, it will never give way to fanaticism. Our praise is often bold and strong, yet sensitive and reverent. Worship is always led in ways that foster unity and emphasize that we are one body in Christ. Our expressions may involve emotions including laughter, applause, or even tears. We desire to experience true worship that is genuine and freeing - not sensational or rigid.
Psalm 100:1-4; John 4:24; II Timothy 4:2
We seek to communicate and interact with openness and transparency, yet always strive to maintain confidentiality. When you share your prayer needs, they are meant to be held with the utmost confidence, love, and concern ~ demonstrating sincerity and compassion.
Galatians 6:1,2; James 5:13-16
When we gather for worship, we always welcome the Holy Spirit to function in ways that edify and encourage everyone. The Bible teaches that there is freedom in public exhortation, but it must always be given in a spirit of love, self-control, and humility. When the Holy Spirit is truly present, all things are done decently and in order.
Galatians 5:22-23; Titus 2:15; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:25; Jude 20
Faith & Practice
St. Paul Family Ministries recognizes that it cannot dictate in areas where the Bible is silent. Rather, each believer is to be led in those areas by the Holy Spirit. We agree to disagree and to love each other. In short...we take the Bible and Jesus Christ seriously but we're not legalistic, which means:
In essential beliefs we have unity.
"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the Spirit of Unity
among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus." Romans 15:5
In nonessential beliefs we have liberty.
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
In all our beliefs we show love.
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves
has been born of God and knows God." 1 John 4:7
